Voice of the Month: Amber Lê — Leading With Purpose, Storytelling, and Courage
At Women Speak Up, we celebrate women who don’t just find their voice—but use it to elevate others, lead with authenticity, and spark lasting change. This month, we are honored to feature Amber Lê, a publicist, event curator, and founder of The Beast PR, who uses storytelling as a tool for empowerment and advocacy.
Rooted in Truth: Amber’s Voice & Story
Amber Lê is a publicist and event curator who uses storytelling to empower. She stands for authenticity, confidence, and the courage to use your voice, even when it feels uncomfortable. At the core of her belief is a simple truth: when women speak up and take up space, they do not just change their own lives. They inspire others to do the same.
With The Beast PR, Amber empowers creatives, entrepreneurs, and brands to find clarity and confidence. She upholds that visibility should not compromise integrity. Her public relations and event work are always rooted in honesty, purpose, and authentic connection.
Amber also uses her platform to normalize discussions of growth, self-worth, identity, and self-advocacy, especially for women navigating challenging spaces. Through mentorship and community-driven events, she creates environments for genuine self-expression.
This work is deeply aligned with the mission of Women Speak Up, emphasizing that voice involves being believed, supported, and protected.
Where Advocacy Becomes Action
One of the most powerful aspects of Amber’s work is her advocacy for domestic violence awareness and support for survivors. As a survivor herself, she understands firsthand how difficult it can be to speak up when fear, shame, or uncertainty are present. Instead of allowing her experiences to silence her, Amber chose to transform them into purpose.
Amber hosts domestic violence events where survivors can share, heal, and connect. These gatherings focus on empowerment, safety, and reclaiming voice.
In these moments, Amber is not just a leader. She is a listener. She is a guide. She is living proof that healing and strength can coexist.
At Women Speak Up, we believe that advocacy is most powerful when it is rooted in lived experience. Amber’s willingness to speak honestly, even when it is painful, embodies exactly what it means to use your voice for impact.
When Speaking Up Saves Lives
One moment, Amber is especially proud of, which reflects the true power of her voice in action.
Amber advocated for a woman leaving an abusive relationship, helping her find courage and resources. The woman then disappeared for months, leaving Amber unsure if her help made a difference.
One day, they ran into each other unexpectedly.
The woman ran up to Amber, hugged her tightly, and said, “You saved my life.”
She had left her abuser, started over, found a great job, and was raising happy and healthy children. They still keep in touch.
Advocacy may not yield instant results; its effects often unfold quietly. Amber’s compassion and courage helped transform a family’s future.
This is what Women Speak Up and voice in action truly represent.
The Women Who Opened the Door
Amber’s journey was inspired by women who spoke intentionally and courageously. Seeing Suchin Pak on MTV made Amber believe her own voice was possible, especially amid limited Asian visibility.
She also draws inspiration from Angie Martinez, known as “The Voice of New York.” Amber admires the way Angie speaks with purpose, clarity, and integrity, always using her platform to elevate meaningful conversations.
Amber’s mentor, Kenya Gipson, guided her to find her own voice, build confidence, and develop leadership, and reinforced the importance of standing firm, even in discomfort.
These women amplified Amber’s voice. Now, she amplifies others.
Words for Women Finding Their Way
When asked what advice she would give to someone just beginning to find their voice, Amber shares:
“Permit yourself to start before you feel ready. Your voice does not need to be perfect to be powerful. It just needs to be honest. Trust your experiences. Set boundaries without guilt. Remember that your story matters, even if it is still unfolding. The more you use your voice, the stronger it becomes.”
This message deeply resonates. Finding your voice is a journey, not a destination. Every step matters.
What This Honor Represents
For Amber, being Voice of the Month means visibility with purpose.
“It’s an opportunity to amplify not just my own story, but the voices of women who may feel unheard or hesitant to speak up. It represents leadership, responsibility, and the power of using your platform to uplift others.”
This recognition is not about a title. It’s about impact, alignment, and community.
Amber lives by a quote that guides her work and her life:
“When you walk within your purpose, God will align the universe to accommodate you.”
Amber’s voice is founded in honesty, empathy, and action. Through her advocacy and commitment, she embodies Women Speak Up.
Her story reminds us that when one woman finds her voice, she opens the door for many more to do the same.
