On September 18th, 2024, our founder Yanel Rivera was named one of this year’s NextGen Collective Honoree’s for 2024.

It’s finally here! The celebration we as women look forward to every year has finally arrived. National Women’s History Month is celebrated in March, where we dedicate the month to not only celebrate, but appreciate and uplift women throughout history, as well as everywhere.

Female Black and Hispanic students navigate a unique academic experience, where their intersecting identities as both racial minorities and women manifest complicated challenges found within the education system, ultimately shaping their academic performance, outcomes and overall experience. The trauma that can arise from navigating these intersecting identities, as well as trauma that arises from unpredicted and disturbing life experiences contribute to the way academic performance and outcomes manifest.

If you don’t already know, Giving Tuesday falls on every Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is the largest annual global event that is dedicated to donating to charities and non-profits, so they are able to help those that are in need. It was officially established in the year 2012 and has been something that people and charities look forward to every year. When you donate on Giving Tuesday, you are doing more than putting your money into a charity, you are saving a life.
